Bethel Community Church
"Serving God and our community for over 100 years"
Wow, is our world going crazy? What possible response can Christian people have in a world filled with hate? I think the answer is seen in our response to the disasters that have ravished our land and our world. Our response should always be that of Love and Charity! I am so proud of Bethel Community Church for their heart for missions and their response to the needs of this world as the Spirit prompts our hearts! From the sizable donation to disaster Relief in the wake of the hurricanes to the hundreds of shoe boxes for Samaritans Purse....from the extraordinary number of Missionaries that we support, and yet find a way to do more and send a missionary from our church. We truly embrace the great Commission!
We have also been so blessed in the past few months in very bleak circumstances of illness. We have seen God answer prayers in healing. Oh if we'll be faithful in the little things He is sooooo faithful in the big things.
We have great ministries He is blessing as well....movie night is the second Sunday each month at 6pm and it's a blast. The singing ministry is great also. Our Choir is fabulous, and Pure Joy is just that...a pure Joy. Sounds of Christmas and also the Christmas Eve service are wonderful times to experience the blessings God has given us through voice and all our Instrumentalists are so anointed from piano to saxophone and yes even those Bells are a great gift from God.
Perhaps our greatest blessings are our children. They impress me with every song they sing, or the bells they play, and the Christmas program is so enjoyed.
So to answer the questions I started with, what is needed from us in this hate-filled world is Love through us pointing others to the Love of Christ, which is what our world needs most.
