                           Thoughts from Pastor Bob

Now that summer has officially arrived, as of June 20th, it’s time to update the webpage.                                                                   Summer brings us all sorts of changes and celebrations.  We have the holidays of                                                                               Memorial Day, the fourth of July, and Labor Day.  Additionally, we have Flag Day and a                                                                         new one, Juneteenth.  I forgot and looked for mail on Juneteenth.

Other summer activities include VBS.  Our VBS begins on July 29th and runs every                                                                             evening to August 2nd.  The hours are 6:00 PM through 8:00 PM.  There is a registration                                                                     button on the webpage if you prefer to enroll in that manner.  We will be collecting can                                                                         goods for area food pantries.  Another summer activity is vacation.  Brenda, Anna, Kade, &                                                                 I will be vacationing this summer.

Brenda’s surgery went well and her recovery is WAY ahead of schedule.  She is actually looking forward to having the other knee replaced in the fall.  I am still going to suspend office hours due to lack of need.  If you need to meet with me, contact me at bcasper3@cox.net or the number below.

Our youth just got back from a mission trip to Show Me Christian Home, La Monte, Missouri.  Once they completed their mission, they were close enough to Branson to be able to relax and enjoy Silver Dollar City before coming home.  It was reported that they had a wonderful time.  Our prayers are that you find rest & relaxation this summer.  We pray for good weather and for the needs of the agricultural community.  May they receive the much-needed rain.  We pray for all who travel this summer.  Whether it is near or far, may the Lord watch over them and bring them safely home.  Please contact me directly with any questions or concerns.
